Position Overview

Pay

$30 – $42/hour based on experience

About the Role

Sylvester & Cockrum is hiring a Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration Service Technician to support our growing Myrtle Beach service team.

This is a field-based service role where you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across a variety of facilities including retail, hospitality, and industrial environments.


What You’ll Be Doing


Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
Perform preventive maintenance and service work
Work on systems such as:
  • Walk-in coolers/freezers
  • Ice machines and refrigeration equipment
  • Rooftop units (RTUs) and split systems
  • Heat pumps and DX systems
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems
Communicate clearly with customers and provide solutions
Maintain accurate service documentation and job records

What We’re Looking For


  • 5+ years of HVAC and/or refrigeration service experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
  • Experience working independently in a service truck
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • Valid driver’s license
